Are the teachers the same for every webinar?
We have a whole new slate of teachers for each webinar through September 9th. There might be a few repeats in future GQC webinars if the teachers have new content to offer. You can download a list of the teachers presenting at each event here.
What is the difference between a Live-Virtual and an On-Demand class or lecture?
All of our teachers are offering Live-Virtual lectures and classes. This means that they are there with you in real time, in a lecture or event that you have scheduled with them.
Since the offerings are virtual can we get a discount?
No, teachers do not discount their fees. Teachers work very hard on their content and as the Guilds are already saving a lot on travel expenses the general consensus is that no, we do not discount our teaching and lecturing fees. It is just as much work for us to develop our skills, course material, and lecture content and in some ways it is much MORE work to do it virtually as we are investing in expensive equipment and new digital skills in order to present our courses as clearly and beautifully as possible.
Can two guilds share a teacher for a lecture for one fee?
That is entirely up to each teacher so please inquire with the professional you are hiring. Please think of this question as if it were a regular in-person event. Would your guild hire a teacher then invite another guild to attend for free or would you charge them a guest fee?
Does each teacher also give lectures?
Please check each teacher’s website. You should be able to find all the information you need there. If not, please contact the teacher directly.
Can you list all the teachers prices for us?
The logistics of managing that much information is beyond the scope of the Global Quilt Connection website. Each teacher sets their own fees and many adjust them each year. It would be very difficult to keep that information accurate.
Exactly how does each teacher work their virtual-live offerings?
Every teacher uses the platforms they are most comfortable with and we have encouraged them to give specific information on their websites. If not, please contact them directly.
Does each guild need to purchase a Zoom account?
Most teachers have already paid for their own zoom Pro account and can easily host your guild on their platform. Please talk with each teacher about how you want to work with them.
Can we record your lecture or course and show it to our members who were unable to attend the live event we scheduled?
Every teacher sets their own policy regarding recording. Please check each teacher’s website. You should be able to find all the information you need there. If not, please contact the teacher directly.
How does Zoom work?

Would you please list the dates of all the classes the teachers are holding for the next year?
