We invite you to participate in an All-Star Virtual Sampler Platter

Saturday May 22, 2021 3-6pm (eastern)

Sunday May 23, 2021 3-6pm (eastern)

18 different teachers will each share a 15 minute live, technique based, hands-on demonstration with hundreds of guilds and quilters from around the globe. This is a chance for you to give your target audience a real taste of what your workshops are really like and get them excited about hiring you.

GQC is working hard to help guilds and their members become comfortable with Zoom workshops. The Sampler Platter will be a risk-free way for their Zoom-reluctant members to see what it’s like to be in a live virtual class. Between each demonstration GQC will offer short tips to attendees on how to have a better zoom workshop experience.

This live event is FREE for teachers to participate in. And a bonus, during your 15 minute demo you may share links to your website, on-demand classes, shops, etc.! GQC will be encouraging viewers to tell their guild program chairs which teachers they want to bring in for virtual programs.

We are looking for upbeat, experienced, and adept Zoom teachers and a wide variety of techniques and styles to really show quilters the best that virtual workshops have to offer. We expect this to be a very successful event that will be repeated at least once per year and will endeavor to include as many teachers as we can each time it is presented.

Teacher Demo Guidelines:

Your 15 minute technique demonstration must be live, not an entirely pre-recorded screen share or slide show.

You will be made co-host for the duration of your 15 minute zoom demo so that you can control your cameras and screen share if you need to.

We encourage you to use a variety of overhead shots and talking head camera views to show off your zoom acumen.

You may include links to your website, coupons, or spotlight products for the last minute or two of your demo, but the bulk of your 15 minutes must be spent teaching. You are selling your teaching skills, not a product.

This event will not be recorded.

Teacher PDF Guidelines

You will be required to provide a one page PDF with written instructions for your technique.

You may also include coupons, links, and promo material for your products on your PDF but it must be mostly instructional.  We will be sharing this PDF with all the guilds that register who will be encouraged to share it with their members.  We will also post this PDF on the GQC website as a resource for guilds.
