We are looking for the stars of our 2027 Calendar!

Our 2027 wall calendar will go on sale in November and be available worldwide. If you have a Miss June or Mr October in your home, they could be granted a starring role!

How it Works

  1. You take or already have a photo of your pet on a quilt, with a quilt, with a sewing machine or quilting notion or other quilting equipment. 
  2. You click below to submit the photo to our competition by October 25th. 
  3. On October 26th we open up a public vote for our subscribers to choose their favorites. 
  4. The top 12 photographs will make up our 2027 calendar, and the submitted will receive a free calendar.

What will the calendar look like?

The Calendar will have a glossy card front and back cover with the 12 calendar pages inside. Images will be in full color, packed with life and very crisp. Each month will have its own spread and weeks will start on a Sunday. There will be a hole at the center top of the calendar so you can easily hang it. When closed the calendar will measure 8.5"x11". The name of the pet and owner will be added in small text at the bottom right of the image.

2027 Calendar Photo Guidelines, Rules and Examples

Photo Guidelines

  • Photos need to be digital and uploaded to the form here by October 25th 2026. 
  • Photos need to be high resolution, such as a modern smartphone might take. For tech people, they need to be at least 350dpi and 2975x3850px.
  • Photos ideally need to be landscape format (i.e. width is longer than their height), or if they are portrait, they should be suitable to be cropped to landscape
  • Photos cannot feature any people, whether adult, child, relative or stranger, or even you yourself. This is a pets only photo event!
  • Photo must feature a pet, although it could just be a paw or tail. Portrait quilts of pets on their own are not eligible. 
  • Photos need to have been taken by you, not a third person or a professional photographer.

Rules

  • By submitting your photo on this form you are giving GQC permission to use the submitted image free of charge in their 2027 calendar, and/or to use your image in their marketing and publicity activities until Dec 31st 2027. This does not prevent you from continuing to use the image for your own purpose during this time. 
  • By submitting your photo on this form you are agreeing that you have full rights of ownership over the image and anything contained in the image, and that you have no issue with it being reproduced in the GQC calendar. 
  • All those people who have their pets featured in the calendar will receive one free copy of the calendar by mail, shipped before November 30th 2026. 
  • Voting will take place online only and will be open to the public, starting on October 26th and concluding on November 4th 2026

Photo Examples

Ideal Photo - Pets and a Quilt, Landscape Orientation
Lovely, even though it only shows a hint of patchwork and part of the cat
Doesn't have to be a cat/dog, although it would need to be a quilt rather than just patterned sheets to be accepted
Quilted, handmade dog cone means this photo is eligible, just a shame about the trash cans in the background
Cat with a sewing machine works, but this would need to be cropped (cut) to have longer width than height
Very sweet but the human hand means it's not eligible
Vintage hard copy photo digitally scanned so not eligible
Perfect tummy time but we would probably crop in closer on the cat after you submitted it
